Clear Administrative Services Credential Induction Program

The vision of the Walnut Valley Administrative Induction Consortium is to foster the development of lifelong, reflective practitioners who continually seek opportunities for growth.  With the support of qualified and trained coaches, new administrators will participate in research-based cycles of inquiry aligned with the California Professional Standards for Education Leaders (CPSEL).  Each new administrator will create individualized goals that build upon their preliminary credential experiences and are aligned with their site and district objectives to create job-embedded learning experiences that enable them to explore best practices focused on gaining proficiency in the leadership skills outlined in the CPSELs.

The Walnut Valley Induction Consortium’s program is built upon the foundation of framework of individualized support for novice administrators in order for them to gain the skills and habits of mind to be effective practitioners and life-long learners. The WV Clear Administrative Services Credential (CASC) program is an individualized, job embedded, two year program. The WV program is purposeful and logically sequences and includes relevant job-embedded professional development to prepare new administrators with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the California Professional Standards for Education Leaders (CPSELs). The individualized nature of the Walnut Valley CASC program allows for the development of each new administrator in the particular context of their role, and also to enrich their knowledge of their district’s culture and goals.

Candidates eligible for the Administrative Services Clear Induction Program must possess a valid Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or a Certificate of Eligibilty and verify employment in a full or part time administrative position. Prospective candidates are required to enter a Clear Administrative Services Credential Induction Program no later than one year of the start of an initial administrative contract.

Welcome from the Administrative Induction Program Coordinator

Welcome to the Walnut Valley Administrative Induction Consortium.  We are dedicated to the support and growth of new administrators. Whether you are an Induction Candidate, Coach, or District Administrator, you will find this handbook a valuable resource.  Our program provides a framework for effective leadership practice based on the California Standards for Educational Leadership (CPSELs). Each component of the Induction experience is based on research of effective leadership and adult learning practices.  However, the most important aspect of Induction is the collaborative relationship between the Induction Candidate and Coach. If there are questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Our program strives to continuously improve to best serve the needs of our stakeholders and participants.
