“KIDS FIRST - Every Student, Every Day”

Dear Walnut Valley Community,

I am excited to welcome you to the 2024/2025 school year!  Walnut Valley has a long-standing reputation as an outstanding school district ... one of the state and nation’s best.  I hope that you will take a few moments to peruse our website and learn about the wonderful things happening on our campuses.  I have been very proud to be part of this award-winning organization for the past 11 years.

Each day, our students are engaged and learning with outstanding teachers and staff members who are dedicated to the success of the whole child by putting “KIDS FIRST - Every Student, Every Day.”  This commitment is evident in recent awards.  Walnut Valley was recently notified that it is ranked among the top 1% of all districts across America for 2024.  Additionally, Diamond Bar High School (DBHS) has joined Walnut High School (WHS) as a National Blue Ribbon School ... further acknowledging them among the very best high schools in the United States.

I am also extremely thankful to our community for its support of Measure WV.  Walnut Valley recently celebrated the opening of several state-of-the-art facilities approved by the Board of Trustees, including a new two-story Science Building and Gymnasium at Suzanne Middle School, and a groundbreaking for a new Music Building.  WHS's new Gymnasium is now complete and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for this fall.  These are just a sampling of the many enhancements to our schools throughout Walnut Valley.

Again, thanks to our community for the unwavering support of our students, staff, and schools.

Robert P. Taylor, Ed.D.

Superintendent
