“KIDS FIRST…EVERY STUDENT, EVERY DAY”

Dear Walnut Valley Community,

I am excited to welcome you to the 2023/2024 school year!

Walnut Valley has a long-standing reputation as an outstanding school district – one of the state and nation’s best.

I hope that you will take a few moments to peruse our website and learn about the wonderful things happening on our campuses.

I have been very proud to be part of this award-winning organization for the past decade.

Each day, our students are engaged and learning with outstanding teachers and staff members who are dedicated to the success of the whole child, putting “Kids First… Every Student, Every Day.” This commitment is evident in recent awards.

Walnut Valley was recently notified that it is ranked among the top 1% of all districts across America for 2024.  Additionally, Diamond Bar High School (DBHS) has joined Walnut High School (WHS) as a National Blue Ribbon School … further acknowledging them as among the very best high schools in the United States.

I am also extremely thankful to our community for the support of Measure WV.

Walnut Valley recently celebrated the opening of several state-of-the-art facilities approved by the Board of Trustees including Science and Music Buildings at DBHS, a new Music Building at South Pointe Middle School, and Multipurpose Building at Walnut Elementary School.

Walnut High School is looking forward to opening its new gymnasium. This fall, Suzanne Middle School will unveil its new Science Building and gymnasium, and a new Music Building will break ground. DBHS and WHS libraries are currently being modernized.

These are just a sampling of the many enhancements to our schools throughout the District.

Again, thanks to our community for your unwavering support of our students, staff, and schools.

Robert P. Taylor, Ed.D.
