Diamond Bar High School

Suzanne Middle School

The mission of the Suzanne Middle School Choral Music program is to foster an intrinsic desire in young students for good quality music performance and education in conjunction with the State and National Standards for Music. At Suzanne Middle School, we strive to create a positive atmosphere that fosters both creativity and musical excellence. Our ultimate goal is that students exit their middle school experience with a greater appreciation of music, the ability to critically analyze musical performances, a desire to continue participation in music, and the ability to respond and interact with a changing world. The two choir classes at Suzanne consist of students in the seventh and eighth grade. Each student will acquire a broad based musical knowledge which includes vocal technique, music theory, music history, music appreciation, auditory skills, audition skills, and ensemble performance. Students will complete this course with improved performance skills, musical knowledge, and increased self-confidence.

Chaparral Middle School

The Chaparral Middle School Choral Music Program aims to provide its students with high quality musical experiences, both in the classroom and on the stage. This aim is achieved through education and training in music literacy, vocal technique, performance practice, exposure to numerous types of repertoire, and connections with other academic and arts disciplines.

South Pointe Middle School

The South Pointe Choir and Musical Theater program is dedicated to music education and helping students find their talents! With our numerous performance opportunities students hone their skills as singers, music readers, actors, and inspirational performers. Most importantly, they learn to work together, be empathetic towards all kinds of people, serve their community, and push through their fear! Activities include the annual Thriller concert, Winter Musical, Various festivals, and an overnight trip and tour for the advanced groups.
