Dear Walnut Valley Community,
We are excited to welcome you to the 2025/2026 school year! As we look forward to a year filled with opportunity and growth, our commitment to "KIDS FIRST ... Every Student, Every Day" remains steadfast as we continue to support and nurture the potential within each and every one of our students. Walnut Valley has a long-standing reputation as an outstanding school district ... one of the best in the state and nation. I hope that you will take a few moments to peruse our website and learn about the wonderful things happening on our campuses.
In the spirit of fostering deeper connections within our community, we have adopted the motto "The Story Wins" for this school year. We believe that by taking the time to learn and understand the personal stories of our students, colleagues, and families, we can cultivate an environment of empathy and understanding. As we challenge ourselves to be curious and sincere with our interest in others, we build stronger relationships and create a more welcoming and supportive environment for all.
I am honored to share a part of my very own story with you. As I begin my 13th year as Superintendent, I am grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside many of the students who entered Walnut Valley with me in 2013 as kindergartners and are now seniors in high school. It is my privilege to be a part of their educational journey, and I look forward to supporting and learning from them this school year. Together, let us make this a year of growth, understanding, and connection as we continue to put our kids first and strive for excellence in all that we do.
