8 WVUSD schools earn place on California’s Honor Roll

WALNUT, CA--Eight Walnut Valley Unified schools have earned a place on the 2016 California Honor Roll for high performing schools.

They are: Evergreen Elementary, Quail Summit Elementary, Westhoff Elementary, Chaparral Middle School, South Pointe Middle School, Suzanne Middle School, Diamond Bar High School, and Walnut High School. 

The annual Honor Roll is part of a nationwide effort to recognize schools leading the way in helping students achieve at the highest levels.

The program is sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) and Educational Results Partnership (ERP).

The annual Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.

For high schools, the Honor Roll recognition includes high college readiness in students.

This year, 1,866 public schools in California received the title of 2016 Honor Roll school.
