Walnut Valley Names Director of Technology


WALNUT,CA--The Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved Kenneth (Kenny) Goodson as the new Director of Technology on November 2.

“We are happy to welcome Kenny to Walnut Valley. He brings exemplary qualifications and experience to our Information Technology Department,” said Superintendent Dr. Dean Conklin.

Kenny brings over 22 years of experience in information technology, technical expertise, and management to his new post. He has been the IT Operations Manager for SCAN Health Plan since 2003. Prior to that, from 1994-2003, he served as a Computer Scientist for the Department of Defense.  He is a Gulf War veteran that served from 1989-1994 in the United States Air Force.

Kenny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Informational Technology, is a Graduate of the United States Air Force Leadership Academy, and is ITIL V3 Foundation certified.

He will begin in his new position Monday, November 14.

The Director of Technology position has remained vacant since Ben Odipo accepted a position in the Corona-Norco Unified School District in June 2009.
