During the June 16 Meeting, Trustees honored Walnut High School Wolf Corp. robotics as winners of the Inspire Champions Finalist Award at the 2022 FTC World Championship in Houston, Texas held April 19-23.

“Getting to here was definitely not an easy task,” shared captain Daniel Ji showing off award during the presentation.

“But working with everyone as a team these past years has been a great experience!”

The Inspire Champions award is the highest honor that best embodies the challenge of the FIRST Technology Challenge (FTC) program.

“These students are going to do some big things!” lauded Boeing mentor Clark Rucker. “It’s been a pleasure working with all of you!”

Wolf Corp. members who competed in Houston are Kawin Watkins, Nathan Tan, Gordon Lau, Jason Wang, Kevin Yu, Joshua Hsu, Daniel Ji, Glory Zhang, Zhenkai Weng, Ethan Tungpalan, Sarah Wang, Jalen Chen, and Harry Zhang.   

Wolf Corp. is coached by parents Lek and Scott Watkins and advised by Walnut High math teacher Yousuf Marvi.
