Red Carpet Celebration!

WALNUT, CA--Walnut Valley Unified School District lauded a wonderful group of 2022 retirees during a May 4 ceremony. 

A total of 43 employees including teachers, classified personnel, and administrators were recognized with personal tributes for outstanding dedication to students and schools.

“This is the first time that we’ve gotten to celebrate in person, not virtually, in two years and it’s exciting!” exclaimed Dr. Diane Perez, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

Retirees walked the red carpet at the outdoor ceremony held at Diamond Bar High to receive personalized gifts including “You Can’t Retire From Being Great!” book bags, WVUSD watch, and certificates from local officials.

“Tonight, we have an opportunity to share our gratitude for these amazing employees who have helped make WVUSD an outstanding place to work and for students to go to school,” lauded Perez who co-hosted with the event Director Dr. Seth Bond.

“Our honorees have a combined total of 1,037 years of service with an average of 24 years per retiree,” Bond reported.
