The Walnut High Orchestra Concert is slated for Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. In addition to the full student symphony orchestra conducted by Dr. Buddy Clements and associate conductor Corey Wicks, selections will also be performed by the advanced "Vivace Strings" and the intermediate "Allegro Strings."
The high school's annual February concert is usually a salute to film and television music. This year's theme of "And the Oscar Goes To....," follows the same theme. Selections include "Moon River," "Pirates of the Caribbean," and the theme song from "To Kill a Mockingbird." Tickets are $7 adults and $5 students and seniors.
