Applying for F-1 Student Visa
Welcome to the Walnut Valley Unified School District!
This information is for international students seeking a one-year public high school experience. Diamond Bar High School (dbhs.org) and Walnut High School (walnuths.net), our two award-winning high schools, are authorized by the U.S. government to issue I-20 forms. Please visit each school’s websites to learn more about the programs offered.
Students will be accepted into grades 9, 10, and 11 based on completed transcripts. Students may not repeat a completed year of school. Please note that WVUSD does not accept students during their senior year.
You must complete all the information on the application, gather the required documents, and contact the Director of Student Services and Secondary Education to schedule an appointment at (909) 595-1261 ext. 31360.
The 2026-2027 school year will begin on Monday, August 10, 2026, and end on Thursday, May 27, 2027. Students must be able to begin school on August 10th. Since the acceptance and enrollment process may take some time, we strongly encourage you to begin the process as soon as possible. Obtaining the I-20 form and applying for the F-1 student visa at the U.S. Embassy may take several weeks or months.
